Let's face it, we all love a certain kind of romance novel. Virgin/Alpha Male romances stories with an edge are what I love. Not only do I love writing about them, but I search desperately for them to read. To clarify, I seek them out and get really ticked off if I get lead on only to find the female isn't a virgin half way through the book. That's what I wanted to write what I craved!
There's something sexy (at least to me) about a strong, powerful man overwhelming a woman that, for whatever reason, has decided to hold on to the V card. Clarifying here to say that I only read stories where the female is an adult and the incest crap? It turns me off in a really bad way. They say you never forget your first lover, and I wanted to give my imaginary friends (characters) an experience that blows them away. Hearts and flowers really aren't my thing and sweet guys are great as friends (and husbands) BUT when I think of the perfect start to a sexual relationship, it's steamy and so overwhelming that it makes you catch your breath.
I was always told to write for potential readers and I admit the idea has merit. My theory is if I'm enraptured by the story then perhaps there are people just like me out there that will be as well. So I write the fantasies I imagine and it takes me back to a time when passion was new and left you trembling. Not everyone enjoys this type of relationship in their romance books, and I know there are several incredible authors' out there writing books for them. If you're reading my work then that's what you can expect from me.
